We warmly salute the DPRK’s joint New Year editorial

The Juche Idea Study Group of England and the Association for the Study of Songun Politics of the UK today issued the following statement in connection with the publication of the New Year editorial by the 3 daily newspapers in the DPRK, “Rodong Sinmun”, “Josoninmingun” and “Chongnyonjonwi” entitled "Make a higher leap full of great ambition and confidence".

Our organizations proudly salute the New Year editorial which contains a brilliant analysis of the situation and sets forth important and vital militant tasks for the coming year.

2005 was a year of brilliant victory in which the twin anniversaries of national liberation and party foundation were carried out in style and the great epical mass game “Arirang” was held successfully.

The single heartedly unity of the people based on the Songun idea was further consolidated.

Successes were made in the economy with an increase in agricultural production and the success in completing different construction projects.

Socialism was defended from the provocations of US imperialism and other reactionary forces by the Korean People’s Army and the might of self reliant popular-based defense system.

The New Year Editorial puts forward as the overall main task to give full play to the superiority of Korean-style socialism in political, military, economic, cultural and all other fields by putting spurs to the general advance of the Songun revolution once again.

The editorial correctly calls for displaying the might of the ideological and political position of the Korean style socialism.

We Juche and Songun idea followers applaud the total correctness of this approach. We further applaud the stance maintained by the joint editorial to maintain anti-US class awareness and consolidate the class position of socialism.

The editorial sets forth economic tasks and raises the revolutionary slogan "Rice is socialism.”

We believe that the joint editorial serves as a brilliant blueprint in realizing the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation of Juche.

We call on world Juche idea followers to support it wholeheartedly.

Furthermore the editorial refers to the significant 80^th anniversary of the foundation of the Down with Imperialism Union and the 60^th anniversary of the foundation of the Kim Il Sung socialist Youth League.

We call upon Juche idea followers to celebrate these important events grandly.

We call for support to the position of removing US troops from south Korea and call on world progressives to campaign for this.

We support the stance of the joint editorial in calling for the final ruin of the pro-US 'neo-conservative' reactionary forces in south Korea. Korean reunification must be supported vigorously and the June 15 joint declaration must be implemented.

These are exciting and stirring times. Juche idea and Songun idea followers and world progressives should support the New Year editorial and also rally around the DPRK, the homeland of Juche, fortress of Songun and outpost of world socialism, at a time when the US imperialists and their satellites and allies are running wild to stifle Korean style socialism.
