List of traitors to the nation in the June 15 era

Turning phase is opened unprecedentedly in the history of national division and the climate of realizing national reconciliation and unity, and national reunification in the spirit of “By the Korean nation itself” is mounting as day after day.

Handful pro-US anti-national reunification elements, however, have denied the South-North Joint Declaration and slandered north Korea, a dialogue partner, running counter to the trend of national history. They have made desperate efforts to preserve the National Security Law, an anti-reunification fascist law, revive the fascist dictatorial era in this land and drive the inter-Korean relations to the past era of confrontation and Cold War.

Sternly punishing the pro-US traitors to the nation that challenge the trend of the times and will of the people and opening the June 15 independent reunification age are an unanimous will of the nation and pressing requirement of national history.

The NDFSK announces the list of traitors to the nation in the June 15 era, reflecting unanimous will of the Korean nation to ostracize the pro-US anti-reunification elements who have committed unpardonable anti-national and anti-reunification acts.

1. Kim Young-sam (Former south Korean President)

Kim Young-sam committed inhumane and anti-national crimes by negatively responding to the same nation when the Korean people were in bitter sorrow by sudden demise of President Kim Il Sung. He is a rare human trash and heinous pro-US anti-reunification element who is the first to propagate subtle stratagem of US psychological warfare and confrontation against north Korea as honorary chairman of the “Radio Free North Korea,” an Internet Radio, which is now operated by north Korean defectors.

2. Kang Young-hun (Former south Korean prime minister)

Kang Young-hun spoke ill of north Korea, a partner of dialogue, at the March 1 Executive Committee of National Meeting that was formed last year and signed on “September 9 declaration on the situation for defending freedom and democracy,” whose main point is to preserve the National Security Law, a legacy of the Cold War era, maliciously slandering system of north Korea. He is a pro-US and anti-communist villain who chilled ardent desire of the south Korean people to abolish the evil law at a press conference as the only ex-prime minister.

3. Lee Hoi-chang (Former chairman of the Grand National Party)

He turned off his TV which screened the scene of the leaders of the south and the north of Korea meeting in Pyongyang in 2000 and strongly opposed the inter-Korean joint declaration that the entire Korean people support. He is a first-grade pro-US and anti-north Korean element who officially incited the incumbent GNP chairwoman to oppose abolition of the NSL and incites anti-north Korean confrontation.

4. Kim Deog-ryong (Floor leader of the GNP)

After assuming as the floor leader of the GNP, Kim Deog-ryong aggressively supported the US “North Korean Human Right Act” and assailed the present authorities that it reads north Korea’s face, it leads to misjudgment of north Korea and it deteriorates traditional south Korea-US relations. He is a despicable pro-US conservative who plays key role in pro-US flunkeyism and anti-north Korea confrontation in the GNP, clamoring improvement of north Korean defectors and human rights.

5. Kim Yong-gap (GNP legislator)

As the co-representative of the council for against withdrawal of the USFK, Kim Yong-gap advocated permanent presence of the US troops and opposed abolition of the NSL, the unanimous desire of the people. While insisting that the NSL cannot be revised even a word, he was taken to a hospital by falling senseless at the conference hall of the National Assembly.

6. Lee Dong-bok (Former special advisor to the prime minister)

As the spokesman for the South-North Coordinating Committee in 1972 and representative of the south-north high-level talks, Lee Dong-bok viciously defamed north Korea. He masterminded anti-north Korea rallies of the ultra-right conservative forces and drew up a draft agenda of the September 9 declaration on the situation.

7. Kim Sung-un (Former Minister of Defense Ministry)

Kim Sung-un participated in the Executive Committee of the March 1 National Meeting that was formed last year and organized rallies against abolition of the NSL and anti-north Korea confrontation of the pro-US conservative forces. He is one of nine core members of the meeting of September 9 declaration on the situation who are involved in drawing up the September 9 declaration on the situation.

8. Lee Jong-gu (Former Defense Minister)

Lee Jong-gu once stood at the bar for receiving 180 million won in bribes from the business groups as regards “project of modernizing south Korean army” during his office as the defense minister. He is a human trash who regards pro-US and anti-communism as his motto and masterminded a series of smear campaigns against north Korea. He also is engaged in framing and publishing the “September 9 declaration on the situation.”

9. Lee Sang-hun (Former Defense Minister, chairman of the Korean Veterans Association)

Lee Sang-hun has gathered up men from the military circle and took the van in the rackets against north Korea. He is a vicious pro-US and anti-north Korean element who masterminded the rallies against abolition of the NSL and north Korea and one of those who were engaged in drawing up and publishing the “September 9 declaration on the situation.”

10. O Ja-bok (Former defense minister, chairman of the Korean Reserve Generals Association)

As a key member of the March 1 Executive Committee of National Meeting and chairman of the Korean Reserve Generals Association, O Ja-bok has taken the lead in accusing north Korea and masterminded rallies against abolition of the NSL and smear campaigns against north Korea. He is one of those who were engaged in drawing up and publishing the “September 9 declaration on the situation.”

11. Chai Myung-shin (Former commander of the south Korean army in Vietnam)

Chai Myung-shin has taken the lead in slandering north Korea as a key member of the so-called March 1 Executive Committee of National Meeting and meeting for September 9 declaration on the situation. He is a vicious pro-US and anti-north Korean element who planned himself to draw up the “September 9 declaration on situation” against abolition of the NSL and north Korea and masterminded conservative rallies.

12. Ahn Ung-mo (Former Minister of Home Affairs)

An Ung-mo served as the Director General of the National Police during the period of the Chun Doo Hwan regime and served as the second assistant director of the National Security Planning Agency and Minister of Home Affairs during the period of the Roh Tae-woo regime. After resigning from his office as minister of Home Affairs due to the “incident of Kang Gyung-dae’s death,” he served as secretary-general and chairman of the Korean General Federation of Freedom and chairman of the Central People’s Committee of Hwanghae Province. He is one of ultra-right pro-US and anti-communist elements and is called as “headquarter of conservatism.” He stood in the forefront of framing and releasing the “September 9 declaration on the situation” and one of those who proposed to form the meeting of September 9 declaration on the situation.

13. Yoo Ki-nam (Chairman of the Federation of Organizations of those Participated in Wars and co-representative of the Alliance of Free Citizens)

Yoo Ki-nam is a core member of the meeting of September 9 declaration on the situation who took the lead in framing and publishing of the September 9 declaration on the situation. He collected signatures of over 6,000 conservative figures who pretended to be influential senior members of the state for September 9 declaration on the situation.”

14. Kim Dong-gil (Professor emeritus of Yonsei University)

Kim Dong-gil, who has strong hostility against north Korea, frequently appears in the conservative media including the monthly magazine “Wolgan Chosun” to disparage north Korea, the same brethren. He is a typical controversialist who has instigated anti-north Korea confrontation and participated in the March 1 Executive Committee of National Meeting. He is one of members of the meeting of September 9 declaration on the situation who was engaged in drawing up and publishing the “September 9 declaration on the situation.”

15. Park Chan-sung (Representative of the Citizens’ Alliance against North Korea’s Nuclear Program)

Park Chan-sung is a member of over 10 conservative organizations including the Citizens’ Alliance against North Korea’s Nuclear Program. He stood at the head of holding various rallies against north Korea including 10 million-signature campaign for demanding repeal ofthe alleged north Korean nuclear program and a rally denouncing release of Song Du-yul, a south Korean professor of Münster University, Germany. He is a flagrant neo-conservative.

16. Seo Jeong-gap (Chairman of the Reserve Colonels’ Alliance of the Army, Navy and Air Forces and Marine Corps)

Seo Jeong-gap has actively participated in the rallies against north Korea held by the conservative organizations on March 1, June 25 and August 15 and other occasions and instigates anti-north Korean confrontation at the press. As he was deeply engaged in signing and publishing the September 9 declaration on the situation, he is a flagrant pro-US anti-north Korean element who earns a reputation as a main force of conservative force with his remarkable mobilization ability and high activity.

17. Cho Gap-je (Chief editor of the monthly magazine “Wolgan Chosun”)

Cho Gap-je is the most typical ultra-rightist journalist who makes fuss over alleged north Korea’s nuclear issue on the side of the US policy to strangle north Korea and hamstrings the implementation of the inter-Korean joint declaration. He once openly agitated impeachment of the President and political coup, labeling the present regime and the Uri party as a pro-north Korean left-wing party and the second company of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

18. Shin Hye-shik (Representative of the Internet “Doknip Shinmun”)

Shin Hye-shik is a core member of the March 1 Executive Committee of National Meeting and a flagrant ultra-right anti-communist who has viciously slandered north Korea and taken to the lead in the anti-north Korea rackets. He is a typical neo-conservative who makes frantic efforts to create pro-US and anti-north Korea atmosphere through the Internet “Doknip Shinmun,” which was set up by back of the US.

19. Ji Man-won (Representative of Social Movement of System)

Ji Man-won agitates anti-north Korean confrontation and fans up inter-Korean conflicts, pretending to be a military critic. He presents many articles full of sophisms against implementation of the historic South-North June 15 Joint Declaration to conservative publications. He aggressively took part in the ultra-right conservative rallies and demonstrations, strongly opposing abolition of the National Security Law.

20. Nam Jae-jung (Chief director of the Aegis Foundation, a south Korean living in the US)

After graduated from Korea University, he immigrated to the United States in 1974 and played decisive role to help Hwang Jang-yop’s (former secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, defector) visit to the US. He is a flagrant traitor to the nation who proposes enactment of anti-national “North Korean Human Right Act” to the US Republican Party and made draft of it and persuaded the Democrats to pass it through the US Senate.

NDFSK Assails U.S. Adventurous War Moves

The Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea (NDFSK) issued a statement denouncing the U.S. for its adventurous war moves on December 3.

Referring to the fact that the U. S. has mapped out reckless war scenarios against the north at different phases and pushed ahead with the war moves to put the scenarios into practice in a premeditated manner over the last scores of years, the statement goes on:

These operational plans include "OPLAN 5030," "OPLAN 5027," and "OPLAN 5029," a chain of the phased-out anti-north war scenarios.

Those anti-north war scenarios clearly indicate the persistent and vicious nature of the U.S. arrogant moves to stifle the north by force and swallow up the whole of the Korean Peninsula.

This is clearly evidenced by the fact that the U.S. has massively deployed new type ultra-modern war equipment in and around the Korean Peninsula and ceaselessly staged "RSOI," "Foal Eagle" and "Ulji Focus Lens-04" drills and other large-scale anti-north war exercises in the air and sea and on the land, driving the situation on the peninsula to the brink of a war.

If the U.S., truly wants peace and a peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue on the peninsula it should immediately withdraw its hostile policy towards north Korea and scrap all the dangerous anti-north Korea war scenarios.

The people from all walks of life should turn out as one in the anti-U.S., anti-war struggle to prevent the disaster of war and safeguard peace and security through the national cooperation in order to cope with the serious situation on the peninsula which is inching close to the brink of a war hour by hour due to the U.S.
