The US Solidarity Committee to Support the Struggle of the NDFSK

and the South Korean People was inaugurated

 

Members of the Songun Politics Study Group and other US pro-Korea and anti-imperialist activists formed the US Solidarity Committee to Support the Struggle of the NDFSK and the South Korean People on August 15, the liberation day of the Korean nation.

John Paul Cupp, chairman of the Songun Politics Study Group in the US was named chairman of the committee, Ziad Shaker El Jishi, moderator of the Socialist Arab Coalition of North America, its vice chairman and Andrew Kahn, member of the SPSG and moderator of the Internet News Group "Proletariat" its general secretary.

The duty of the US Solidarity Committee to Support the Struggle of the NDFSK and the South Korean People was made public.

The task of the US Solidarity Committee to Support the Struggle of the NDFSK and the South Korean People is:

 

1. to wage dynamic solidarity activities of various sorts to introduce the justifiable patriotic struggle of the NDFSK and the south Korean people for the termination of the US colonial rule, achievement of social democracy and independent reunification of Korea to the laboring masses of the United States and raise their support for it;

2. to take the lead of the international solidarity movement for pressuring the reactionary US rulers into withdrawal of the US aggression troops from south Korea at once, conclusion of a DPRK-US nonaggression treaty and noninterference in the internal affairs of the Korean nation;

3. to actively support the just cause of the Korean nation to reunify the country independently and peacefully under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration by resolutely foiling the criminal moves of the US imperialists and the pro-US traitorous forces of south Korea aimed at eternal division of the Korean Peninsula and, still worse, provocation of a new Korean war;

4. to promote unity and cooperation between the progressive forces and toiling masses of the United States and the NDFSK and the patriotic south Korean people.

5. to take concerted solidarity actions with the progressive parties, organizations, and solidarity committees of other countries supporting the peace and reunification of Korea.
