Let all Koreans pool efforts to bring earlier the independent reunification

under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration

 

The propaganda Bureau of the NDFSK Central Committee issued an appeal to all the people on June 25.

Noting that 54 years have passed since the US started the war of aggression against north Korea, the appeal said:

The US massacre of the Koreans during the three year-long war was most hideous and monstrous in the world history of war.

It is more than 50 years since then but the Korean nation has not yet forced the US imperialists, murderers, to pay for the blood shed by Koreans, said the appeal, adding:

The strong trend in the era of independence and reunification opened by the Korean nation itself after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration deprived the US forces in south Korea of any justification to stay there any longer.

Much upset by this, the US is watching for a chance to invade the north, putting spurs to the adventurous arms build‑up aimed at "preemptive attacks" behind the curtain of deceptive relocation of its troops.

All the people should turn out in the struggle for independence against the US to terminate its military occupation and domination, force the US aggressor forces to withdraw from south Korea and thus get rid of the constant worry about a nuclear war and bring earlier independence, democracy and reunification, their desire.

“Let us put an end to US forces’ occupation before it will reach 60 years!”. This is the supreme task for the Korean people today and the general goal to be attained through the anti-US anti-war struggle.

All the political forces and people from all walks of life who are aspiring for peace against the war should frustrate the US moves for a nuclear war against the north escalated behind the curtain of the deceptive troop reduction through a vigorous anti-US anti-war struggle.

The US and pro-American traitorous group are making desperate efforts for aggression, war and division, but they can never frustrate the efforts of the Korean people to build a peaceful reunified country free from war.

 

 

NDFSK opposed to additional troop dispatch to Iraq

 

A spokesman for the National Democratic Front of south Korea issued a statement on June 25 as regards the murder of a south Korean civilian in Iraq.

The statement said:

The south Korean authorities, drawing a lesson from the recent tragedy resulting from their submission to outside forces, should promptly retract the decision on additional troop dispatch to Iraq in compliance with the will of the people and demand of the times and withdraw the already dispatched troops.

The incident was caused by the brigandish US pressure to send troops to Iraq for making south Korea an accomplice in aggression after starting the Iraqi war without justification. Therefore, the real criminal is the US to all intents and purposes.

The act of the US is a notorious crime which has evoked hatred and wrath not only of the bereaved family but of the whole nation, all the fellow countrymen and human conscience.

The robber-like pressure of the US to dispatch additional troops to Iraq has exposed not only the young Koreans and defenseless civilians now in Iraq but the whole of this land to the danger of being made a target of the indiscriminate terrorism of the resistance force. Facts clearly show once again that the US is, indeed, the ferocious aggressor clean indifferent to the life and security of the Korean people and the misfortunes and unrest of this land are coming from the US, the empire of evil.

The Korean people can no more shed blood for nothing, placed on the altar of the US war of aggression.

The statement called upon the whole Korean people to closely unite and put fresh muscles into the anti-US anti-war struggle to resolutely check and frustrate the US policy of colonial domination and its pressure to send troops to Iraq and defend the welfare and peace of the nation and existence of the people by their own efforts.
