Great
leader Kim Jong Il, sun of the nation and
lodestar
of
national reunification
Today
we mark the 10th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il
Sung, the father of the nation, with welling-up yearning and warm adoration
for him.
Throughout
the last decade of years since the nation met the greatest national mourning,
the south Korean vanguard fighters and all other patriotic people, who
have vigorously struggled for national reunification true to the pledge
they made before the President, are now looking up to the Geumsusan Memorial
Palace, the supreme sacred temple where the President lies in state.
Extending
unreserved gratitude to you for having had President Kim Il Sung
as the eternal sun of Juche and consistently carried on his cause, the
Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea reverentially
sends you this letter carrying the firm volition of the south Korean vanguards
and all other patriotic people to achieve the cause of independent reunification
without fail under your Songun leadership.
We
have lived and struggled cherishing the sun-like image of the President,
who, with broad smile on his face, wished the nation and humanity the bright
future for ten years. During the period we have keenly realized how great
man we had as the leader of the nation, and the period was also the brilliant
annals when the President’s cause has been
victoriously carried on through the most difficult trials under the Songun
politics.
The
whole life of the President, whom the Korean nation and world people had
met for the first time in history, was indeed the brilliant history of
the sun that, endowed with outstanding ideology, excellent leadership and
noble virtue, recorded the checkered 20th century with legendary-like
achievements and feats.
The
President, who embarked on the road of revolution in his teens, fathered
the immortal Juche idea to illumine the path of the nation and humankind
and showed the worldwide example of national liberation struggle in colonies
by organizing and victoriously leading the hard-fought anti-Japanese armed
struggle.
The
President, who was well versed in the pen and sword on the highest level,
brilliantly realized the historical cause of party founding, state construction
and organization of the army in liberated north Korea on the basis of the
revolutionary tradition started in Mt. Baekdu, repulsed the armed aggression
by the US imperialist and built the independent, self-supporting and self-defensive
powerful state in north Korea. He was really the father of socialist Korea
who displayed the dignity of the nation throughout the world.
It
is a feat recorded with red letters in the history of the nation and humankind
that the President who, with rare far-sightedness, perfectly solved the
issue of inheriting the ideology and leadership to guarantee ultimate accomplishment
of the Juche cause and eternal prosperity of the Kim Il
Sung nation.
The
President regarded the reunification of the nation as his lifelong mission
from the first day of national division till the last moment of his life
and devoted his all to lay down the solid foundation for reunification.
The
President indicated the orientation of the era with the brilliant rays
of Juche and wisely led the cause of global independence with the brilliant
example of socialist construction and steadfast stance of anti-imperialist
independence, and therefore world people highly praise him as the most
excellent veteran of the world politics and sun of humankind and their
reverence for him flows over the world.
The
President devoted his all for the fatherland and nation, era and humankind
throughout 80-odd years. Thus he is still alive and brightening the way
ahead of the nation and world for his great idea, immortal feats and noble
virtue.
The
revolutionary cause of President Kim Il
Sung, eternal sun of the Juche, is successfully carried on to sure
victory by you, sun of the 21st century, who are identical with
the President.
You,
taking upon yourself the noble mission to implement the President’s life-long
intention, has recorded brilliantly the ten-year
sacred revolutionary history of leader’s eternity under the banner of
Songun.
It
is also your historic feat in realizing the cause of perpetuating the memory
of the President that you, supreme incarnation of moral obligation, took
steps to build the Geumsusan Memorial Palace as the supreme sacred temple
of Juche to have him in state and institute the Day of the Sun, the Juche
era and the Kim Il Sung Constitution.
You
have the firm faith to creditably inherit the President’s cause no matter
what the world may change and have enforced the Songun politics to fail
the
US
moves to destroy north Korea to defend national dignity and socialism and
created miracles of opening breakthrough for building of a prosperous powerful
country by turning the unprecedented “Arduous March” and the forced march
into a march to paradise.
Under
your Songun politics, Songun leadership, today north
Korea is highlighted as the power of ideology, the power of politics and
the military power, striking the world people with admiration by opening
heyday of building a powerful nation, true to the President’s behests.
You,
cherishing the President’s instructions for national reunification, formulated
his reunification programs as the three chapters of reunification to build
solid foundationfor reunification
and arranged the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration to open the new
era of independent reunification with your patriotic Songun politics and
outstanding leadership, when the whole nation pools its efforts for reunification.
Thanks
to you the great leader Kim Jong Il, who leads the new era with
unlimited loyalty to President Kim Il Sung, noble moral obligation
and unusual political ability, the revolutionary history of the President
continues century after century and the President will be alive as ever
in the hearts of the nation and humanity as father of the nation and the
sun of Juche.
All
the NDFSK members and patriotic people of south
Korea are full of national pride of having you just like the President
in idea, leadership and virtue, along with the resolve to struggle to reunify
the country under your Songun politics.
We
will strengthen the NDFSK and revolutionary forces into the ranks of faithful
retainers holding in high esteem the President through ages, supporting
your Songun idea and Songun politics to the last.
We
will achieve the President’s instructions for national reunification without
fail by accelerating independent reunification with might of inter-Korean
national cooperation under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration
despite whatever frenzied moves of anti-reunification forces at home abroad.
You
are the destiny of the nation and your good health and safety are the unanimous
wish of the entire nation.
