Statement of the vice-chairperson of the Central Committee of

the National Democratic Front of South Korea

 

Today our people are significantly celebrating the 12^th anniversary of the assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People’s Army by respected Marshal Kim Jong Il, sun of the nation and peerless Songun general, and the 86th birth anniversary of comrade Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war heroine.

On the occasion of this auspicious day, the Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea extends the warmest congratulations to the great Marshal Kim Jong Il who is leading the Juche cause started in the thick forests of Mt. Baekdu, reflecting the boundless reverence of the vanguard fighters and patriotic people of all strata in south Korea pay homage to Kim Jong Suk, woman general of Mt. Baekdu.

Marshal Kim Jong Il, son of Mt. Baekdu, is brilliantly succeeding to and completing the revolutionary cause pioneered by the fatherly President Kim Il Sung.

Facing the ever-increasing moves of the United States to isolate and stifle north Korea, he advanced an original philosophy of the Songun politics according to which the army is just the Party, state and people, and performed outstanding feats for the nation and humankind through unremitting Songun leadership.

He brought up the KPA as the matchless powerful army of Mt. Baekdu. And through forming the single-hearted unity of north Korea he foiled the US aggressors’ moves to isolate and stifle the north and frantic nuclear war moves, victoriously concluded the “Arduous March” and the forced march, safeguarded peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and firmly defended sovereignty and dignity of the nation.    

Those are immortal exploits to be brilliant in history forever.

By having Kim Jong Il, the peerless brilliant commander endowed with matchless courage, outstanding commanding art and marvelous strategy, at the top position of the nation, north Korea has won repeated victories in the unprecedented fierce nuclear showdown with the US in 20^th and 21^st centuries and is being highlighted in the world as the ideological, political and military power that stands firm as a rock in spite of the world’s disturbances.

Thanks to his Songun politics a milestone of the national reunification in the 21^st  century was provided and the reconciliation and unity, cooperation and exchange between south and north Korea unprecedented in the history of national division are activated. Even under the anti-reunification moves of the United States and pro-US conservative forces of south Korea, representatives of different public circles of the south and the north successfully held various reunification functions together and accelerated the powerful march of independent reunification holding aloft the banner of “By our nation itself”. This is entirely attributable to Kim Jong Il’s grateful Songun politics.

Now the “Kim Jong Il storm” is bursting on this land like an active volcano to worship the great Marshal as the sun of the reunification and it is the trend of the times to support and follow his Songun politics that no force can check.

Having the conviction that the country will surely be reunified thanks to Kim Jong Il, who takes care of all members of the nation, the 70 million Korean people are turning out as one in the struggle to implement the June 15 inter-Korean joint declaration.

Really it is an honor and joy of the nation and humankind to hold Marshal    Kim Jong Il as the supreme commander of the KPA, who is upgrading the national dignity to the highest level and greatly contributing to peace and stability of the world by creating a new history of victory with his outstanding Songun leadership.

With the honor and joy overwhelming the world, we are also warmly remembering the brilliant revolutionary life of Comrade Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, who raised up the great Marshal to the sun of Songun.

Great Comrade Kim Jong Suk, early in the period of the national ruin caused by the Japanese colonial rule, joined the sacred anti-Japanese war to liberate the country upholding the Songun idea of generalissimo Kim Il Sung, peerless legendary hero.

She gained fame of the woman general of the partisans whom the Japs were trembling with fear. She created a noble example of devotedly defending the leader to safeguard the health and security of the President with her life having absolute loyalty to and infinite self-sacrificing spirit for the fatherly President.

After the country’s liberation she also devoted herself to the struggle to realize the line of founding the party, state and army advanced by the President and the struggle to check the national division and reunify the country, thus performing exploits brilliant in the national history.

In particular it is the great exploits that will shine forever along with the times that she brought up the Bright Star of Baekdu to give the entire nation the fortune of being blessed by the leader and the general century after century.

The south Korean people will endlessly worship Marshal Kim Jong Il, brilliant commander of Mt. Baekdu, and Kim Jong Suk, who brought up the Marshal as the sun of Songun and created a model of loyalty toward the fatherly President, and further accelerate the grand march for the national reunification in order to realize earlier the day when the entire nation enjoy happiness under the Songun politics of the respected Marshal.

Good health and security of respected Marshal Kim Jong Il who is the very destiny and happiness of the fellow countrymen are the earnest wish of the entire nation.

The NDFSK Central Committee, reflecting the earnest desire of vanguard fighters and patriotic people of south Korea sincerely wishes good health to Marshal Kim Jong Il, sun of the 21^st century, benevolent father of the nation and lodestar of the national reunification.
