Liquidation of division-seeking force is demand of the times

The cause of independent reunification of the Korean nation that has advanced under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration faces great obstacle. Lee Myung-bak, who took the presidency in south Korea, runs counter to the trend of the June 15 reunification era in collusion with foreign forces.

 The Lee regime put forth reactionary “pragmatism” and anti-reunification policy such as “no nukes, opening and helping the north raise its per capita income to 3,000 dollars” to drive the inter-Korean relations to catastrophe and block the movement for Korea’s reunification, while slandering the June 15 joint declaration, a reunification program common to the nation.

The Lee regime has revealed its ill intention to invade north Korea, clamoring about “strategic alliance” with the US. Meanwhile, it puts reckless suppression upon the organizations and people struggle for national reconciliation, unity and reunification, saying about purging of the leftist forces.

Fascist fever against reunification reminiscent of military dictatorial regimes in the past is prevalent in south Korea.

The Lee regime’s reckless act reminds the south Koreans of 35 years ago during which the “Yushin” dictator pursued the policy of national division, following the foreign force’s policies against reunification.

The June 15 joint declaration is a scientific and righteous program for reunification that clarifies the correct path to realize national unity and independent reunification and brilliant result of the Korean nation’s spirit of independence and their will for great national unity. No one can either deny or eliminate it. The anti-reunification policy of the Lee regime is a manifestation to belittle the June 15 joint declaration common to the nation, block the inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation and foment the inter-Korean confrontation.

The precious success of the June 15 joint declaration achieved by efforts and wisdom of the Korean nation cannot be preserved if the vicious attempts are fail to frustrate.

The Lee regime, that pursues the dependence on foreign force, in disregard of the national interests, is little different from the past “Yushin” dictatorial regime that was hell-bent on to make two Koreas. The June 15 reunification era cannot advance without purging the Lee regime, a cancer harmful to reunification and the nation.       

Without liquidating the Lee regime that denies the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and makes frantic effort to provoke a war against north Korea while advocating a preemptive strike, the destiny of the Korean nation would face a grave crisis.  

The south Koreans should sternly punish the Lee regime that hampers the process of reunification in collusion with the foreign force, ignoring the nation.  

The south Korean people should intensify a nationwide struggle to frustrate the Lee regime’s pro-US sycophancy and anti-reunification policy in order to make a new history of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
