President Kim Il Sung’s exploits for the cause of national reunification

will be recorded in history of the country forever

Visiting Mangyongdae, the native place dear to the hearts of the Korean people, I am longing for President Kim Il Sung who devoted his all to freedom and happiness of the people, and to the country’s reunification and independence cause of the world.

The south Korean people express their gratitude to the President who devoted his heart and soul to present a reunified country to the Korean nation. They highly extol the President as the sun of the nation, lodestar of reunification and the father of the nation.

All the successes achieved in the history of national reunification are unthinkable apart from tireless efforts of the President.

The south Korean people, who mark the Day of the Sun with the 60th anniversary of Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Public Organizations in North and South Korea (April North-South Joint Conference), recollect the undying exploits the President performed for reconciliation and unity of the nation.

The President’s exploits for national reunification are precious inheritance and serves as solid foundation for reunification.

The President set forth the guiding lines to be maintained in accomplishing the cause of reunification-the three principles of the reunification of the fatherland, the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo and the 10-point program of the great unity of the whole nation for the reunification of the country which constitutes the Three Charters of Reunification.

President Kim Il Sung made sure that patriotism and the spirit of national independence is regarded as foundation of the great national unity and put forward the principle of great national unity to subordinate all to the cause of reunification, transcending different ideology, ideal, political view and religion. He led the people who work for reunification with broad-mindedness without asking the past deed.      

Indeed, President Kim Il Sung’s devotion to the country and his great exploits for the national reunification will shine in the history of the country.

The cause of national reunification led by the President is now being successfully carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il.

The AINDF vanguard fighters and patriotic people will bring earlier the day of independent and peaceful reunification, President Kim Il Sung’s lifelong desire, by accelerating the movement of independent reunification under the banner of “by our nation itself” provided by leader Kim Jong Il, the sun of the nation and lodestar of reunification.
