Statement of vice-chairman of the Central Committee of AINDF

Today we significantly mark the 15^th anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s election as the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with boundless reverence of the world people for the brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu.

Holding leader Kim Jong Il on the highest post of the DPRK is the greatest privilege and the fortune for the Korean nation.

On this significant day, the vanguard fighters of the AINDF and the people from all social standings of south Korea extend the greatest glory and greetings to leader Kim Jong Il who defends motherland of Juche with the invincible Songun politics and demonstrates the honor and dignity of Kim Il Sung’s nation throughout the world.

Leader Kim Jong Il’s election as the NDC Chairman is a happy event for socialist Korea and the eruption of the Korean people’s ardent desire for building a reunified and prosperous country without fail, true to his Songun politics.

The NDC chairmanship of leader Kim Jong Il, the peerless patriot and prominent statesman of the contemporary age, provided a decisive guarantee to inherit the President’s Songun idea and exploits performed in founding the army.  

He, who regarded the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche with arms, true to the Songun idea of President Kim Il Sung, formulated the Songun politics as the fundamental political mode of socialism in the 90s of the last century which embodied the President’s idea of giving priority to arms on the basis of exploits and experiences gained in leading the army for decades.

He established the unique system of state leadership with the National Defense Commission as the mainstay in north Korea to strengthen the DPRK government which will serves as a powerful political weapon to embody the Songun idea and leadership in all fields. He further consolidated the socialist system centered on the popular masses and laid governmental foundation for the accomplishment of the cause of Songun revolution.

He has frustrated the US and its followers’ move to strangle north Korea on the strength of Songun to safeguard peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia. He opened up a heyday of building a socialist powerful nation in north Korea.

Thanks to his Songun politics and leadership, north Korea is highlighted as a politico-ideological and military power that no formidable enemy dares to attack, striking the world people with great creation and changes.  

Leader Kim Jong Il defends the security of the nation and opens up bright future of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by frustrating the danger of war and anti-reunification plots of the separatist forces at home and abroad.

He arranged the historic Pyongyang summit meeting and adopted the October 4 declaration last year after the summit held in June 2000. Consequently, a new chapter of independent reunification, peace and prosperity was opened under the banner of “By our nation itself” and the south Koreans’ struggle for independent reunification against the US is salient.     

The national reconciliation and unity unprecedented in history of national division are promoted and the pro-reunification forces in the south, north and abroad have frustrated vicious plots of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad. It is thanks to undying feats of the leader who has noble idea of patriotism and broad magnanimousness.

The south Korean people unanimously support his Songun politics and are confident of a reunified and prosperous country through his greatness, looking up to him as the savior of the nation and lodestar of reunification who safeguards the destiny of the nation. .

The AINDF vanguards and the people of south Korea from all walks of life, who are celebrating the historic day with national pride and jubilation, are determined to advance along the road of independent reunification, true to the outstanding Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il.

With absolute faith that leader Kim Jong Il is the destiny and future of the nation and symbol of reunification and prosperity, the south Korean people will only believe in and follow the leader, positively support the Songun politics and intensify the anti-US independent struggle.  

The AINDF, a vanguard in the struggle to implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, an almighty sword for reunification, will perform its noble mission for the times, country and people by frustrating the obstructions and challenges of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad and intensifying a nationwide struggle to open up a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity.
