Fully Supports Joint New Year Editorial of
The vice chairperson of
the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front issued
a press release on January 3 in support of the joint New Year editorial of Rodongsinmun,
Josoninmingun and Chongnyunjonwi of north Korea, organs of the
Party, army and youth league, published under the title ¡°Let Us Glorify This
Year of the 60th Founding Anniversary of the DPRK as a Year of
Historical Turn Which will Go Down in the History of the Country!¡±.
The press release noted
that last year which celebrated in grandeur the 95th birth
anniversary of great President Kim Il
Sung and the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People's
Army, north Korea dynamically proved the great vitality of the Songun revolutionary
line of leader Kim Jong Il and made
a big stride in building a thriving nation through the unprecedented innovation
and upsurge.
It indicated that last
year the historic October south-north summit meeting was arranged and the ¡°Declaration
for South-North Relations and Peace and Prosperity¡± was adopted as a landmark
event in pushing forward the cause of the national reunification.
The press release
stressed that the historic events made last year in building a thriving nation
and realizing the cause of the national reunification are the precious fruition
of the outstanding strategy and tactics, iron-willed volition and the patriotic
ideal and energetic leadership of Kim
Jong Il.
It also indicated that
the joint New Year editorial called for waging more vigorous movement for the country¡¯s
reunification under the slogan ¡°Open Up a New Era of Independent Reunification
and Peace and Prosperity by Pooling Efforts of Our Nation!¡±
It noted that the AINDF vanguard
fighters and the patriotic people form all strata fully support and endorse the
joint editorial which set forth a bright path ahead of the movement of the country¡¯s
reunification, and are brimful with burning resolve to rise up to implement it
in high spirits.
The press release
indicated that all compatriots in the south, north and overseas should solve
the reunification problem by placing the dignity and interests of the nation
above anything else and in the stance of national independence, and positively struggle
to get rid of the source of war and settle the lasting peace at an early date.
It called on all people
to wage the incessant and dynamic struggle for peace against war so as to smash
the moves of the belligerent forces at home and abroad for a war against

stressed that the south Korean people would turn out as one in the struggle to
