Drive out US troops, sworn enemy of Korean nation

The south Koreans from all walks of life intensify the struggle for the withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea.

Civic organizations including the Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration held 159^th Friday rally against the US and war and for the withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea in front of the US embassy in Seoul on July 6.

Referring to the fact that the commander of the US Forces Korea made absurd remarks about threat of north Korean missile, speakers at the rally noted that the US army make frantic efforts to prepare for a war against north Korea by reinforcing forces and expanding military bases in south Korea. They demanded the cancellation of war maneuvers against north Korea.

A resolution was read out in the rally.

It stressed that the south Korean people’s struggle for the withdrawal of the US forces in south Korea will be further intensified, no matter how the warmongers run amuck. The US will face with denunciation of the Korean nation if it continues to obstruct peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula, the resolution said and urged the commander of the US Forces Korea to stop making preposterous remarks to instigate a war against north Korea and leave south Korea at once together with its army.    

The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification said in a statement titled “We denounce the permanent presence of the US army in south Korea” released on July 10 that the south Korean people strongly demand the withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea and the US must immediately pull out its troops from south Korea.

That day members of the civic organizations including the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification and the People for Peace and Reunification held the 94^th anti-US solidarity rally in Seoul demanding the dismantlement of the “UN Command.”

The South Headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country’s Reunification published slogans of struggle on the occasion of the June 15-August 15 joint movement period of Pomchonghaknyon.

The slogans read:

It is preposterous that a foreign army remain in south Korea even in the June 15 era. Withdraw the US military troops from south Korea!

US, leave south Korea at once, clearly recognizing the war deterrent of our nation!

US troops which have no ground to remain in south Korea, get out of this land!

The anti-US is the trend of the times; Let us struggle for the pullout of the US army in south Korea!

Let us intensify the struggle for the withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea!

Let’s drive out the USFK, the sworn enemy of the Korean nation and aggressor!

Down with the USFK that prepares for a new war!

Drive out the USFK, manipulator of the West sea conflict!

Let us frustrate the US scheme to keep its 8th Army permanently in south Korea!

Let us expand the struggle for the pullback of the US from south Korea by intensifying the struggle for the removal of the US military bases!

The relocation of the US military bases for a new war inflicts sufferings upon the south Koreans. Let us resolutely struggle against the relocation of the US military bases!

Let us remove the US military bases, the source of all evils!

Let us get bloody tax of the people by settling all problems caused due to the US military bases!

Let us expose plots of the US for war through moving its military bases as a part of “strategic flexibility” and drive out the USFK!

The youth and students should turn out in the struggle for the removal of the US military bases from south Korea on the occasion of the July 27.

The youth and students should encourage the people with confidence in victory and give fear to the US through intensifying the struggle to remove the US military bases.

The youth and students should intensify the struggle to withdraw the US troops, the greatest obstacle to national prosperity, from south Korea.

The youth and students across the country should turn out in the struggle for the withdrawal of the US troops and military bases from south Korea.

Let us shatter bases of the imperialists through intensive struggle for the pullback of the US army, keenly aware of vulnerability of the US by the Korean people’s great advance for independent reunification.

The youth and students should be proud sons and daughters of the nation in the struggle to withdraw the US troops from south Korea, holding aloft the banner of attaching importance to the nation and maintaining peace and achieving great unity.
