An appeal to the south Korean people

Dear countrymen!

The moves of the Grand National Party and pro-US conservative forces in support of the US vicious maneuvers for isolation and sanctions against north Korea get to the extreme.

The pro-US conservative forces speak ill of north Korea, slandering the self-defensive nuclear deterrent of north Korea as challenge to peace.

The pro-US traitors misled the present situation as a semi-war state, turned the parliament into the place of anti-north Korea campaign and advocate anti-north Korean sentiment outside the parliament.

The GNP, which disliked the atmosphere of mounting reconciliation, unity and reunification between the south and the north of Korea, instigated inter-Korean confrontation in signature campaign, rallies and candlelight demos, saying about suspension of aid to north Korea and total suspension of inter-Korean cooperation.

Saying that now is the time that stick is needed, the GNP forced the south Korean government to totally reexamine policies toward north Korea. It even made belligerent remarks on launch of a limited warfare and landing of Wonsan, a coastal city of north Korea, evoking anger of the south Koreans.

The pro-US conservatives slandered pro-reunification figures and people from all social standings supporting the self-defensive nuclear deterrent of north Korea as dangerous forces. They assailed the political parties and civic organizations of south Korea which visited north Korea as the reds and vanguards of the Songun politics.

They slandered the present government as a spokesman for north Korea and demand the abolition of the June 15 inter-Korean joint declaration.

Modern-version of McCathysm and the inter-Korean confrontation are prevalent in this land owing to the frantic moves of the pro-US forces.

It is the way of existence of the pro-US conservatives to pursue treachery and anti-north Korean confrontation.

The pro-US conservatives headed by the GNP intend to turn anti-US pro-north Korean sentiment, a trend after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, to pro-US and anti-north Korean sentiment and seize the next-term regime in collusion with the conservatives.

The hackneyed method of the GNP, that controlled the ruling crisis with the anti-north Korea racket, had gone for good.

The south Koreans see clearly their anti-national and belligerent acts through their thoughtless behaviors. They keenly realize that if the pro-US conservatives take power the era of fascism will be revived, the inter-Korean relations be jeopardized and the entire Korean nation will suffer nuclear holocaust.

The south Koreans from all walks of life should not overlook the anti-north Korean maneuvers of the pro-US conservatives including the GNP. If the vicious moves of the pro-US forces are neglected, an evil influence will be caused to the progressive reform and reunification movement, as a malignant tumor threatens the body.

Now it is the time to intensify the struggle to remove from the political circle the pro-US forces that disregard the destiny of the nation and people as it is.

Dear countrymen!

Frustrating the anti-north Korean racket of the pro-US force and the GNP is a pressing task to defend dignity and interests of the nation, secure peace in this land and preserve the June 15 reunification era.

It is the challenge to the dignity of the Korean nation and insult to the nation that the pro-US forces said the defensive nuclear deterrent of north Korea as “a threat to peace,” while conniving at nuclear weapons of the US in south Korea.

All the people who value justice and truth, country and nation should turn out in the struggle to liquidate the pro-US conservative forces.

Let us deal a heavy blow to the anti-north Korean maneuvers of the GNP!

Let us intensify the struggle against the GNP across the country!

Let us denounce the pro-US forces, a despicable servant of the US, by disclosing their criminal acts!

The realization of the alliance against the conservatives is a decisive guarantee for overpowering the pro-US conservatives.

Let us foil collusion of the conservative forces by forming the alliance against the conservatives!

Let us frustrate ambition of the pro-US conservative to take power through the concerted efforts of the progressive forces, irrespective of region, affiliation and parties!

Let us expel the pro-US conservatives, bastard of the US, to America!

Intensive struggle for peace against the US and war is a part of struggle to hasten the ruin of the pro-US conservative forces.

Let us frustrate the US intervention in the internal affairs of south Korea that is seeking the anti-north Korean confrontation by egging the pro-US conservatives!

The south Koreans from all walks of life who oppose war and love peace should raise their voices against the US moves against north Korea.

Let us oppose the unreasonable economic sanctions and pressure of the US and its followers against north Korea!

Vigorous struggle for implementing the June 15 joint declaration is an initiative offensive to preserve the idea of the “By our nation itself” and ostracize the pro-US forces.

Let us hold higher the banner of “By our nation itself” when the pro-US forces resort to the anti-north Korean racket!

Let us frustrate the GNP’s racket on suspension of aid to north Korea by promoting reconciliation, unity and cooperation!

Let us go to Mt. Geumgang resort and support the project of Gaesong Industrial Park!

Supporting the Songun politics of north Korea is a shortcut to defend dignity and sovereignty of the nation, finally liquidate the pro-US conservatives and greet a reunified country.

The south Koreans from all social standings should be positive supporters of the Songun politics!

Let us intensify the struggle to liquidate the pro-US forces, bearing in mind the fact that the self-defensive nuclear deterrent of north Korea is pride of the Korean nation!

Let us support the Songun politics, shield of national defense and sword of reunification!

It is a disgrace and misfortune of the nation that the pro-US forces such as the GNP are still active in this land when the dawn of a reunified powerful country is breaking.

The south Korean people from all walks of life should accelerate the day of an independent new society free from the foreign force and traitors through vigorous struggle to liquidate the pro-US conservative forces.

Statement of the AINDF spokesman

The international community is now unanimously hailing the agreement on the resumption of the six-party talks, while highly praising north Korea’s invariable stand and sincere efforts for the solution of the nuclear issue.

However, the pro-US conservatives and conservative media of south Korea spread a ridiculous rumor that it is result of stick of the US and international community and, strong and prompt sanctions against north Korea produced resumption of the talks.

Their absurd remarks are totally distorted and treacherous.

As already reported, north Korea made it clear through the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it decided to return to the six-party talks on the premise that the issue of lifting the financial sanctions would be discussed and settled between north Korea and the US within the framework of the six-party talks.

The US has stubbornly rejected just demand of north Korea and dismissed discussion of lifting the financial sanctions in the six-party talks, asserting that north Korea should return to the table without string attached and the financial sanctions and the six-party talks are different issue.

It is clear to everyone that why the US agreed to return the table on the premise that the issue of lifting the financial sanctions would be discussed and settled between north Korea and the US within the framework of the six-party talks.

The just international public opinion and the south Korean public highly speak of the resumption of the talks as north Korea’s victory over the US that is driven to the tight corner and the US submission to powerful nuclear deterrent of north Korea.

The resumption of the talks clearly proves north Korea’s just demand of bilateral talks in the principle of partiality and mutual respect.

The pro-US conservatives and conservative mass media have echoed what the US says to curry favor with the US.

By nature, the pro-US conservatives and conservative mass media are true spokesperson for and servant of the US.

Because of the pro-US forces that suck the sole of its master’s foot and make frantic efforts to harm the same brethren in the north, the US has treated the south Koreans as “colonial subjects”. The US pokes its nose into the work of the inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation and responds war maneuvers against north Korea to the Korean nation desirous of peace and reunification. 

It is disgrace for the south Korean people that such pro-US elements, which regard the way of their existence to pursue treachery and anti-north Korea confrontation, are active in this land.

The south Koreans from all walks of life should intensify the struggle to put the pro-US conservatives and conservative mass media including the Grand National Party which sell off the dignity and interests of the nation for the US into a wastebasket of history
