Stop the "Ulji Focus Lens” military exercise at once!

The Juche Idea Study Group of England, the Association for the Study of Songun Politics-UK and the UK Korean Friendship Association today issued a joint statement condemning the "Ulji Focus Lens" aggressive military exercise of the US imperialist aggressors and the subservient and flunkeyist south Korean authorities.

This exercises involving 8,000 troops and the simulation of a war against the DPRK, come shortly after the aggressive “RIMPAC 2006” exercises.

We find it truly staggering the US imperialists are carrying war games against the DPRK one after another. This shows the intention of the US imperialists to attack the DPRK or to try to suffocate it by putting continuous military pressure on it.

Such exercises are a grave threat not to the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and Asia Pacific but also to the world peace.

They came at a time when US imperialism's hostile policies against the DPRK have reached new extremes, such as the passing of a UN resolution against the DPRK by the US and some other countries that follow it or that are in some way beholden to it.

Military exercises such as the "Ulji Focus Lens" are aimed simply at stifling the DPRK and its Korean style socialist system and also to put out the flame of Songun and Juche.

Juche idea and Songun idea followers feel anger towards the US imperialists.

We support the call made by the Korean National Peace Committee on the 28th of July for the immediate cancellation of the "Ulji Focus Lens" exercises.

To the US President,

We wish to protest most strongly at the “Ulji Focus Lens” military exercises being conducted by the US forces in Korea and the south Korean military involving about 10,000 troops.

Such exercises are a grave provocation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and an unpardonable challenge to both peace in the Asia-Pacific region and the world. They are being staged not long after the “RIMPAC 2006”.

The joint military exercises are timed to coincide with the largest-ever naval and air combined maneuvers staged in the waters off the Korean Peninsula and those exercises are staged after keeping a carrier strike flotilla on alert in waters near Korea.
  The “Ulji Focus Lens” comes at a time when tension on the Korean peninsula has increased to unprecedented levels because of the US hostility to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The US has aggravated tension by imposing unfair sanctions against the DPRK and also instigated other countries to be hostile the DPRK and put pressure on it.

The "Team Spirit" joint military exercises were suspended in the 1990s as they were denounced by the world for being a test war against the north.

The U.S. has filled up the "vacancy" made by the "Team Spirit" by staging the "Ulji Focus Lens" on a larger scale.
    No one can vouch that the "Ulji Focus Lens" joint military exercises will not develop into a war on the Korean Peninsula in view of their aggressive nature and the bellicose true colors of the U.S. rulers.

The U.S. military threat to the DPRK is not a fiction but a reality at hand.

The "Ulji Focus Lens" go to clearly prove that the U.S. attempt to provoke the second Korean war has entered the practical phase of implementation.

The Juche Idea Study Group of England, the Association for the Study of Songun Politics-UK and the UK Korean Friendship Association today issued a joint declaration in support of the statement issued by the Panmunjeom mission of the Korean People’s Army on the 22nd of August.

The “Ulji Focus Lens” military exercise of the US imperialists and south Korean reactionary warlike forces has strained the Korean situation to the extreme.

The US imperialists have held war mongering exercises one after the other in and around the Korean peninsula and have even sent a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier flotilla to south Korea. What is even worse is that on top this the US imperialists and some others have imposed additional sanctions and blockade on the DPRK and cooked a "UN resolution".

In such a context the Armistice Agreement of 1953 has been effectively nullified.

We once again demand that the “Ulji Focus Lens” military exercise is scrapped forthwith and US imperialist aggressor troops removed from south Korea.

We support the just and righteous stance of the KPA in taking self-defensive measures in the face of the ever intensified US imperialist moves to stifle the DPRK, the motherland of Juche and fortress of socialism in the world.

We call on all independence and justice loving people to rally around the DPRK.

We resolutely condemn the “Ulji Focus Lens” military exercises

Now the US imperialist forces together with the south Korean bellicose forces are staging the dangerous provocative “Ulji Focus Lens” military exercises in south Korea.

However, all the Korean nation from the north and south will surely frustrate the aggression plots of the US imperialists.

The Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il is the most reliable shield defending Korea from the Yankees’ new offensive and a treasured sword of justice smashing the new war provocation of the US.

Though the frantic war moves and the military threat against north Korea get to an extreme phase, they cannot block the vehement stream of the independent reunification of the Korean people.

We’re convinced that the Korean people will put an end to the US occupation of south Korea and realize the country’s reunification without fail.

The US imperialists, stop the “Ulji Focus Lens” military drills, a criminal thermonuclear war game, at once!

We squarely reject the nuclear holocaust on the Korean nation.

We can never pardon the massacre of the Korean nation.
