Now we mark the 12^th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung, benevolent father of the nation and the eternal sun of Juche, at a time when the entire Korean nation turn out in the vigorous struggle for independent reunification, peace against war and great national unity under the banner of the “By our nation itself.”

Marking the day, the vanguard fighters and the south Korean people from all walks of life pray for the eternity of the President, recollecting the great revolutionary life and exploits of the President.

President Kim Il Sung is the outstanding leader who led the 20^th century to the independent era with his dignity and disposition unprecedented in history. He is a great revolutionary, prominent statesman and peerless great man who enjoys boundless admiration of the world people for his great contributions and high authority.

The President illumined the way ahead of the era by fathering the immortal Juche idea with his farsighted wisdom and his faculties of inquiry, thus opening the independent age, a new era of history, in which the working people carve out their destiny independently.

He is an ever-victorious and iron-willed commander and military strategist who liberated the country and defended the national sovereignty and dignity by defeating two formidable imperialists in one generation.

With his motto “the people are my God,” the President realized the historic cause of the founding of the party, country and army by relying on the strength of the popular masses. He built the socialist powerful country of Juche in north Korea where the working people are masters of the country with his seasoned and tested leadership, thus bringing about national prosperity.

The President, who devoted his all to give a reunified country to the next generation until the last moment of his life, advanced the three charters for Korea’s reunification, the patriotic program, and laid a solid foundation for realizing the cause of independent reunification by arousing the Korean nation for its realization.

The President performed immortal exploits for the independent cause of humankind through energetic external activities, thus enjoying high admiration of the world as a veteran of the world politics and the greatest of the great men representing the 20^th century.

In particular, the President provided a firm guarantee for the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche and eternal prosperity of Kim Il Sung Korea and Kim Il Sung nation by successfully solving the issue of succeeding the leadership.

The exploits of President Kim Il Sung who rendered great contributions for the nation and history with his extraordinary idea and unique leadership that nobody can match with him, overcoming trials and hardships unprecedented in history, will be recorded through all the age.

The cause of Juche and Songun started by the President from Mt. Baekdu is being carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il, the sun of the 21st century and peerless commander of Songun.

Kim Jong Il, who has the noblest loyalty to the President, brilliantly realized the cause of eternity of the President for the first time in history to have the sacred history of the President continue.

He has strengthened the military might of the Korean People’s Army with the unique politics of Songun, an embodiment of the President’s revolutionary idea of Songun, and created miracles and merits in defending socialism and building a powerful nation as the Korean People’s Army as its core, striking the world people with admiration.

Regarding the reunification as his lifelong mission, he leads the reunification movement of the Korean nation to victory, maintaining the idea and lines of reunification put forward by the President. He realized the historic Pyongyang summit and the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration with his rare wisdom and bold decision to open the era of “by our nation itself,” a new age of independence.

Thanks to his energetic leadership, the atmosphere of the inter-Korean reconciliation and unity are promoted and the patriotic movement for independent reunification, peace against war and great national unity is turned into an irresistible trend of the times that no forces at home and abroad can check.

With a matchless courage and invincible mettle, he has foiled the US moves to dominate the world and leads the cause of global cause of independence to victory, demonstrating might of Juche Korean and dignity of the nation to the world.

Thanks to Kim Jong Il who has noble loyalty to the President and unique political ability, President Kim Il Sung is immortal in the hearts of the Korean people and humankind as the sun of Juche.

The vanguard fighters and the south Korean people from all social standings are fully determined to have the President through all the age and realize lifelong desire of the President without fail by accomplishing the historic cause of reunification under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il. 

The south Korean people will put an end to the colonial domination and military presence of the US to hasten the day of reunification by exalting the immortal feats the President performed for reunification and accelerating the nationwide struggle for reunification under the banner of “by our nation itself.”
