= Struggle for implementing the June 15 inter-Korean joint declaration

Mar.31- The Preparatory Committee of the Cheju Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 South-north Joint Declaration was inaugurated.

=Anti-US and anti-war struggle

Apr.4- The Busan Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration issued a statement titled “We oppose the new south Korea-US alliance accelerating subordination to the US.”

Apr.5- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Student for the Country’s Reunification made public a statement denouncing the Grand National Party and the conservative media for zealously supporting the US in its moves for a war against north Korea.

Apr.11- The 79^th anti-US solidarity rally was held in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, with the participation of members of civic organizations including the All-People Masure Committee for Checking the Expansion of the US Military Base in Pyeongtaek, the Paeseong Measure Committee for Checking the Expansion of the US Military Base, the Anti-US Youth Association and the People for Peace and Reunification.

Apr.14- A workers’ rally for pullout of the US troops from south Korea and checking the expansion of the US military base in Pyeongtaek was held under the sponsorship of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.

=Anti-Japanese Struggle

Mar.31- Thirteen civic organizations including the Lawyers for Democratic Society, the Citizens’ Alliance for Democracy, the Green Korea United and the Democratic Labor party held a news conference in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul. They strongly urged the Japanese government to stop test operation of a nuclear processing factory.

=Struggle for democracy and the right to live

Apr.3- Student of Gunkook University staged a demonstration in front of the student hall, demanding withdrawal of expenses for new students and improvement of educational environment.

Apr.8- The Measure Committee for Proving the Truth of the People’s Revolutionary Party Case and Rehabilitation held a memorial service in Seoul.

Apr.10- Lawmaker Kwon Young-ghil of the Democratic Labor Party censured the south Korea-US Free Trade Agreement.
