The US imperialists and the south Korean military,

stop the war exercises against north Korea at once!

The US and the south Korean military are running wild to stage again the “Reception, Staging, Onward-movement and Integration (RSOI)” and the “Foal Eagle” combined exercises for rounding off the war preparations against north Korea despite the unanimous opposition of all the Korean people and the world peace-loving people who desire peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

They planned to commit to these large-scale drills the latest military hardware including the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” and tremendous force of arms.

The US Korea policy is a hegemonistic aggression policy aimed to strangle north Korea and put the Korean Peninsula under its domination.

The planned military drills cannot be otherwise a grave provocation to north Korea, the dialogue partner, for they’re to be staged at a time when the political and military showdown between north Korea and the US gets acuter and the six-party talks is not resumed due to the US arbitrary financial sanctions and “human rights” racket against north Korea.

We bitterly denounce the US-south Korea combined military drills as a heinous challenge to the sincere efforts of the Korean nation and the international community for peace and security of the Korean Peninsula.

The US, for staging the war drills against north Korea, can never evade the responsibility for further aggravating the north Korea-US relations, delaying the resumption of the six-party talks, destroying the inter-Korean relations and harming the reconciliation mood of the Korean nation.

The US is really a wrecker of peace, a ringleader of war and a vicious enemy to the reconciliation, unity of the Korean nation and reunification.

We strongly demand the US to stop the aggressive war exercises at once and pull back all its aggression troops and lethal weapons from south Korea without any delay if it really wishes for the relaxation of the tension and peace on the Korean Peninsula and the dialogue.

On this occasion we extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle for peace and independent reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK, the Juche Idea Study Group of England and the Korean Friendship Association today issued the following statement in connection with the ill boding news that US imperialist and south Korean war hawks plan to hold the RSOI and 'Foal Eagle' exercises from the 25th of March.

We strongly condemn the holding as these exercises as they are clearly the successor to the hated 'Team Spirit' exercises. These exercises are aimed at

provoking a war on the Korean peninsula, invading the DPRK and effecting so called 'regime change' in the DPRK i.e destroying the people centered masses

orientated socialist system of the DPRK chosen by the people of the DPRK themselves. It aims to intimidate the DPRK and other countries.

The US imperialist aggressors and the south Korean military authorities are bringing the dark clouds of war to the Korean peninsula and the entire Asia-Pacific region.

What makes them more sinister is that they are holding at a time when the US imperialists are carrying a relentless propaganda offensive against the

DPRK and have increased their sanctions against the DPRK. All this shows that the intention of the US imperialists, contrary to the agreement at the 6 party

talks to intimidate and crush the DPRK the homeland of Juche.

These exercises are also a violation of the June 15 declaration. It is noteworthy that the south Korean regime seems to be backtracking on the June 15

Declaration by not only taking part in these exercises but also by agreeing to so called 'strategic flexibility and by participating in the PSI.

We call upon the US imperialists and south Korean authorities to call off these provocative and dangerous war exercises at once.

Every now and then the US escalates tension with the DPRK(N. Korea) through aggressive war maneuvers of a provocative nature that escalate the situation in the Korean peninsula as a whole and sets up the region for a possible attack against the DPRK. 

If anything it proves the sinister intentions of the US which constantly is preparing for military confrontation with the DPRK while it tells the world hypocritically that it is a peace-maker. 

Continuous and aggressive the latest war drills starting March 25 have been named Reception, Staging, Onward-movement and Integration (RSOI), they involve the operation named Fowl Eagle, which has mobilized the nuclear powered naval aircraft Abraham Lincoln and a tremendous amount of fire power into the Korean peninsula. 

This takes place as the US lies to its people accusing the DPRK of militarism while it uses its own military to constantly threaten and try to intimidate the DPRK.  

These aggressive moves can not be but a a way to try and intimidate the DPRK to pressure it to return to the six-party talks while the US is fashioning public opinion against bogus accusations of human rights abuses in the DPRK.

The US in reality is afraid of the continuous resolve and determination of the DPRK to accomplish reunification of the Korean nation and is trying to frustrate the momentum gained by the June 2000 signed declaration between North and South for reunification.  

We condemn with the strongest of language these war drills of thug like nature, and stand in solidarity with the Korean people to frustrate them!

The US and the right wing conservative forces of South Korea are planning to hold a conference this March in Brussels Belgium to discuss the so-called human rights situation in North Korea.

And as always the US seeks to falsify the facts and lie in its intent to strangle N. Korea and create havoc in the Korean peninsula as a whole.

The US has as its purpose to denigrate the international image of N. Korea and is determined in its propaganda to attack N. Korea through spread of lies; all because of N. Korea’s commitment to building socialism and its fierce push for maintaining its sovereignty and independence. Especially the US in its ongoing campaign is intent on blocking the path of peace in the Korean peninsula.

It is ironic that in N. Korea people live in an ideal life style enjoying material and social living with full legal and political rights afforded to them as citizens. In N. Korea every member of society is equal, healthcare is free, education is free, there is no illiteracy, the country is safe and prosperous, and a bright future awaits its children. The people are afforded a great and popular leadership in a model state and society.

It is in the US however, that human rights are continuously abused domestically and abroad.  Tens of millions live in the streets homeless and without employment. 38 million suffer form poverty and hunger while 0.02% of the country owns 60% of the wealth and salaries differ widely amongst the people.  

As a result the US has become a home to the worst types of discrimination and violence and citizens there have no sense of security, discriminated against because of skin color or religion.

The government of the US constantly lies to its own people trying to hide its many mistakes and has drawn the hatred and dislike of the majority of the people of the world because of its many aggressions attracting subservient nations alien to their own people to support its many of unjust action.

The US is trying to be policeman to the world under the guise of protecting human rights but in reality we affirm that it is the US that stands to be accused of human rights violations and it is the one that must defend its human rights record.

Finally, on this occasion we re-affirm our support for the cause of reunification of the Koreas and we are certain that the truth will prevail over the lies spread by the United States.
