The death toll of US troops in Iraq exceeded 2,000 as of Oct. 24 since the start of the Iraqi war in March 2003. Cindy Sihan, a symbolic of anti-war movement as ¡°mother of anti-war,¡± participated in an anti-war rally held in front of the White House on Oct. 26. Rallies against the Iraqi war were held throughout the US that day.

The situation of Iraqi security is getting aggravating. It took 18 months to reach the dead number of US soldiers to 1,000 since the outbreak of the war and took 14 months to top 2,000.

Increasing death toll among the US army, State defense force and reserve soldiers produced an effect on war-weariness. Their death toll increased from 18 percentages to 31 in the war.

 

82 percentage of the Iraqi people strongly oppose presence of the US-coalition forces

 

      According to a secret survey conducted by the State for Defense of UK among the Iraqi people, 72 percentage of the people said that the coalition forces are not to be trusted. 82 percentage of the people said that they strongly oppose the coalition forces¡¯ presence and two out of three said that their presence deteriorates situation in Iraq.
