Maltreatment
of Iraqi prisoners by the US army
The Human
Rights Watch, an international human rights watchdog, disclosed new ill-treatment
of the Iraqi prisoners by the US army by releasing a report.
According to the report, the 82nd airborne division that
pretends to be an elite troop of the US army mistreated ¡°suspected terrorists¡±
in a jail with torture and violence.
There was a man with broken leg hit by a metal bat among the victims.
The Japanese
Kyodo News said that the US army maltreatment upon the prisoners not only in
Abu Ghraib but also in other jails in Iraq is likely to arouse suspicion.
An awful
photo reminiscent of ill-treatment of prisoners in Abu Ghraib was posted under
the title of ¡°cooked Iraqi¡± at a website of the US army.
The photo
shows the US soldiers laugh pointing dead bodies.
