Congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Il

Leader Kim Jong Il received a congratulatory letter from the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front on October 10 on the occasion of the 60^th birthday of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung in developing the WPK into the greatest and experienced revolutionary party, steering the era and history, remain shining despite the flow of times the letter said, adding that the WPK will always shed its rays as the party of the President.

The letter pointed out that the WPK founded and led by the President has greeted its greatest day in carrying forward the cause of Juche as it is guided by Kim Jong Il, the peerlessly great man of Mt. Baekdu born of Heaven.

The letter continued:

You have markedly strengthened the WPK into a guiding force of the Songun revolution, taking firm hold on the army as required by the changed situation and revolutionary practices, and firmly defended Juche-oriented socialism and sovereignty of the Korean nation in the acute political and military confrontation with the imperialists and brought about a radical turn in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation, relying on its matchless might. This is a historic exploit of special mention as it has strikingly demonstrated the sagacity and invincibility of the leadership of the WPK to the whole world.

Thanks to the Juche-oriented idea and theory of building a vanguard party and invincible policy of struggles set forth by the President and you, the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front has grown strong to be the patriotic vanguard leading the movement of people from all walks of life for independence, democracy and reunification.

We will hold high the banner of the historic June 15 joint declaration to put stronger spurs to the march for national reunification with the might of national cooperation and conduct a vigorous struggle to foil the moves of the US imperialists and the pro-US conservative forces to block reunification and for a war against north Korea and thus fulfill the heavy duty before the times and history in the sacred struggle to build a great prosperous powerful reunified country on this land of three thousand-ri.
