Dispatched south Korean unit “Zaitun” must be withdrawn

The world was in ferment by consecutive bombing in London.

Fear of terrorism is increasing although the US-led 4-year-long war on terrorism has been waged. The world falls in a vicious circle of violence rather than peaceful owing to the war on terrorism.

South Korea is not exceptional.

South Korea, which dispatched large number of its troops to Iraq next to Britain, has been threatened more than 10 occasions and its Zaitun unit in Iraq had been attacked by the resistance forces.

What is fundamental issue is that whether the south Korean troops dispatched to Iraq should be stationed continuously for the unjustifiable war.

People of several countries in the world strongly oppose the war in Iraq. Many countries that dispatched their troops to Iraq withdraw and reduce their troops and even in the United States, igniter of the Iraqi war, withdrawal and reduction of their armed forces are discussed. A resolution demanding withdrawal of the US troops in Iraq was submitted in the House of Representatives of the US.

Only south Korea examines extension of the dispatched troops and its role.
