Anti-US actions called for
The vice-chairman of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front on June 24 made public a statement, 55 years after the US imperialists provoked a war of aggression against north Korea.
For the fellow countrymen the June 25 war was a just fatherland liberation war to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the nation, the statement noted, adding that President Kim Il Sung brought about the beginning of decline for the US with his far-sighted strategy and outstanding leadership.
The present situation calls on all the south Koreans to turn out as one in the struggle to smash the US moves to provoke a new war, the statement noted, and went on:
The withdrawal of the US troops from south Korea is the main target of the struggle against the US and war and an urgent demand of the times.
All the south Koreans should wage a more dynamic struggle for the withdrawal of the US troops throughout south Korea to make this year, which marks the 60th year after the US troops’ occupation of it, a year of their withdrawal and out an end to the more than a century-long foreign domination and interference.
They should bear deep in mind that the members of the nation can exist and they can achieve peace and the reunification of the country only when they follow the Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il, the sun of the 21st century, and positively support and uphold his great Songun politics with ardent patriotism.
Our people will resolutely check and frustrate the US moves to unleash a new war by the concerted efforts of all the Koreans under the uplifted banner of three forms of cooperation for national independence, peace against war and reunification and patriotism and thus defend the peace of the country and surely achieve the historic cause of independent reunification.
