Kim Jong Suk, a paragon of devotedly defending the leader

 

Kim Jong Suk, a heroine of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, left many legendary stories by showing practical example of defending President Kim Il Sung, heart and destiny of the Korean revolution. One of the stories happened in Dashahe, Antu, northeastern China.

A unit of the Japanese army, that secretly chased a unit of the Korean People¡¯s Revolutionary Army led by General Kim Il Sung, suddenly fired upon them on a height when the unit crossed a river. At this grave juncture, General Kim Il Sung turned grave situation into favorable one by ordering a dash at the enemy on the height. The Japanese army, however, offered stubborn resistance to the Korean People¡¯s Revolutionary Army. The battle became fiercer.

The President directed the battle on a rock at the hillside, holding his Mauser.

Kim Jong suk, who always thinks safety of the President whatever the circumstance may be, watched with great vigilance the surroundings of the President at that time, too. Her heart seemed to stop when she turned her eyes on a field of reeds. A group of the Japanese army that secretly approached to the field of reeds pointed their guns at the President. It was the crucial moment.

She safeguarded the President with her body. At the same time she pulled the trigger of her Mauser. One of the Japanese army fell down with sound of her Masuer.

Another shot was heard. It was a shot that the President fired over her shoulder. She hit the other enemies. The enemies were vanished.
