Let us achieve the independent reunification of the country with the concerted efforts of the

Korean nation without fail, upholding the Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il

Zo Il-min, representative of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, was interviewed by the Korean Central News Agency on June 8 on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean June 15 joint declaration.

The last five years since the publication of the joint declaration have been years during which the south Korean people have won brilliant victory in the struggle for independence, democracy and reunification, worthy years in which they demonstrated their might as the proud master in putting an end to the cursed history of division and opening the way to the new era of reunification.

The June 15 joint declaration brought up the south Korean people into the powerful driving force of the movement for national reunification. This finds manifestation in the fact that the reverence for leader Kim Jong Il, the peerless patriot who provided the historic June 15 joint declaration, is firmly rooted in the center of the ideological and moral world of the patriotic people in the south and has become their faith.

This finds expression also in the fact the south Korean people’s ideological sentiments for great national unity have grown after the publication of the joint declaration and that it has led them to throw off the noose of pro-US flunkeyism and oriented them to the consciousness of independence against the US.

Its another manifestation is that the joint declaration helped the south Koreans have a clear understanding of the obstacles to independent reunification (the US imperialists and their followers) and its motive force (the northern brothers and sisters and themselves) and led the south and the north to form the driving force of the reunification movement.

The Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il is the main factor in strengthening the south Korean people into a powerful driving force of the movement for national reunification.

As the great Songun politics firmly defends the dignity and sovereignty of the Korean nation, it can stand against any aggressor and defeat him when it pools strength.

The hearts of all the Koreans following the great brilliant Songun commander are pulsating with the spirit of independence. Nobody on earth can bar the way of the Korean nation fighting vigorously to achieve the independent reunification of the country.

The US option of preemptive nuclear attack on north Korea such as “OPLAN 5029-05” and “CONPLAN 8022-02” can never break the will of all the Koreans for independent reunification against the US.

The vanguard fighters of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front will turn out in the anti-US showdown with death-defying readiness to defend the nation’s independence, dignity, and firm conviction of victory, put an end to the US domination and occupation and bring earlier the new morning of national reunification to this land.
