AINDF denounces
US moves for nuclear war
The spokesman for the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front
made public a statement on March 28 denouncing the US reckless moves
for a nuclear war.
The statement said:
The disclosure of the fact that a US attack nuclear
submarine entered the naval base in Jinhae of south Korea to participate
in the war exercises against north Korea triggered off
strong protest and anger from the people of different walks of life.
In this regard, the US and the south
Korean military authorities claimed that it is true the nuclear submarine
entered Jinhae Port for RSOI, but
it carried no nuclear weapons and that nuclear submarine and aircraft carriers
regularly visit there to participate in ¡°south Korea-US joint operations.¡± This
self-exposed the fact that US nuclear war
equipment is introduced into this land any time.
This goes clearly prove once again that the US has
persistently and premeditatedly made reckless preparations for a nuclear war
for years to impose a nuclear disaster upon the Korean nation.
The AINDF sternly denounces the entry of the US nuclear
submarine into Jinhae Port as it is an
extremely provocative act to drive the Korean nation into a scourge of a
nuclear war at any cost.
It was quite natural for north Korea to have built
nuclear deterrent for self-defense in order to cope with the US moves for a war
of aggression against it. And it is entirely just for the north to bolster its
nuclear arsenal now that the US is escalating
the tension by ceaselessly introducing nuclear war equipment including a
nuclear submarine into south Korea.
People from all walks of life should not remain a passive
on-looker to the US dangerous moves
for a nuclear war but foil its attempt to launch a war against the north
through cooperation with the north for peace against war.
The US should behave
itself, properly understanding the Korean people¡¯s strong will to fight the US and achieve
peaceful reunification and the pro-US military authorities should immediately
stop cooperating with the US for a war.
South Korean
youth and students urged to play vanguard role
The Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National
Democratic Front on March 30 released slogans for its immediate struggle. They
called on the south Korean youth and students to play a vanguard and leading
role in the struggle to achieve independence, democracy and reunification this
year that marks 60th anniversary of national liberation and the 60th year since
the US troops¡¯ occupation of south Korea.
The slogans described the youth and students as the masters
responsible for the future and a dynamic force for national reunification,
calling on them to turn out as one to achieve cooperation for reunification and
patriotism. They also urged the youth and students in the south, the north and
abroad to unite close and pull down the barrier of division and emerge the
first generation of reunified Korea.
They underscored the need for them to increase in every way
their leading role in the anti-US and anti-war struggle as the vanguard who
launched a fierce anti-US struggle in south Korea,
once known to be a tranquil area outside the anti-US turmoil, and make this
year the year of the US troops¡¯ pullout from it.
They called for shattering Japan¡¯s
wild ambition for territorial aggrandizement and ostracizing the Grand National
Party, the most evil party dreaming of fascist dictatorship.
