No force can
check the air of anti-Iraqi war
The Iraqi war was unleashed against the UN charter and in this
view the war was illegal, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said in an interview with
the BBC. The world opposes the Iraqi war committed by the US. The Iraqi war is going on and it turned into a great disaster
to the Iraqi people and humankind, though one and half years have passed. For
this reason, the air of opposing the Iraqi war ignited by Bush is still hot.
New Zealand Prime Minister Clark said on September 22 that his country has no intention to send
another troops to Iraq at a time when its troops withdraw from Iraq. Stating that the Iraqi situation is in a very dangerous phase,
he noted it is not a correct measure that New Zealand dispatches its army to Iraq again.
German Chancellor Shroeder expressed his stance against troop dispatch to Iraq in an interview with a German newspaper on September 23. Since
the Iraqi situation is aggravating the German government will not withdraw its
original stance against troop dispatch to Iraq, he said.
That day, the French Foreign Minister at the 59th
session of the UN General Assembly reaffirmed the stance of France against troop dispatch to Iraq. Strongly criticizing the US-led Iraqi war, he said that France would never send its army to Iraq. He stressed that France pledges not to intervene in Iraqi problem militarily in the
future too. Expressing concern about the further aggravating violence in Iraq he said that only when the Iraqi people themselves solve their
future issue on a responsible manner and the political process of the country
is promoted under the UN supervision, can Iraq free from chaos.
On the same day, a spokesman for the French Defense Ministry
said that France would not dispatch even a soldier to Iraq.
Pakistani President Musharaff said on
September 23 that his country would not like to be seen as an occupation force
and it would bring about counter effect if Pakistan dispatches its troops to Iraq.
Lots of British people demands withdrawal of its troops from Iraq. More than 70 percent of respondents asserted the pullout of
the British troops from Iraq according to a survey made by a British civic organization
published on September 20.
Aggression and war is enemy of humankind. The tendency of
anti-Iraqi war can never be checked.
