years have lapsed since the flagrant “National Security Law” was fabricated
under the tragic national division caused by the foreign powers.
During
the 55 years, the NSL, the evilest law unprecedented in the history of
legislation, has served as an omnipotent means to back the

to the NSL, many patriotic parties, organizations and mass media were dissolved
and lots of patriots who fought for independence, democracy and reunification
were executed to death in the past.
There
have been many evil laws across the times and spaces, but none of them
stands on a par with the NSL in its inhumanity and cruelty.
That’s
why our people stigmatized the NSL as an unparalleled evil law which tramples
upon the fundamental rights and freedom of people and blocks the realization
of independence, democratization of the society and the reunification,
and have dynamically struggled to abolish it.
The
international community also has voiced its demand to abolish it.
All
successive rulers, however, have repeatedly changed the law for the worse
to serve as panacea in preserving the national division and their fascist
dictatorship.
It
is really regrettable that the NSL remained still in force even today when
the inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation works are proceeding in
full scale true to the idea of our nation itself after the adoption of
the historic the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration.
Till
now, personages who contributed to the inter-Korean reconciliation and
cooperation and worked for independence, democracy and reunification are
serving unjust jail term and the patriotic organizations for reunification
such as “Hanchongryon” and “Beomminryon”
were branded as benefiting-enemy and their cadres are facing the suppression.
There
is no justification for the existence of the anachronistic NSL now when
the advance toward the independent reunification by the concerted efforts
of the south and north of
The
abolition of the NSL is an urgent demand of the times and the people.
And
the abolition of the NSL is a matter of vital importance on which the realization
of the democratic freedom and the right to live of our people and the national
reunification, the fellow countrymen’s cherished desire, directly depends.
The
attitude toward the NSL forms a touchstone distinguishing democracy from
fascism, reunification from division and patriotism from treachery.
The
authorities must abolish immediately the NSL sentenced to death by the
nation and the conscience of mankind.
The
abolition of the NSL can not be realized by the authorities.
So
all the people from different social standings should turn out as one and
energetically wage the struggle to abrogate the NSL.
The
NDFSK will vigorously conduct the struggle together with all the people
to abolish the NSL, a peerless evil law against the nation, democracy and
reunification.
