A young commander

At the close of the Japanese imperialist rule, the Japs quivered from fear when hearing even the story of General Kim Il Sung.

Some day, an order of moving out was issued to Jap Miyazaki¡¯s ¡°punitive force¡± stationed near Mt. Baekdu.

The Japs who stayed indoors when General Kim Il Sung was in Mt. Baekdu, enforced the all-out mobilization availing themselves of the opportunity of the General¡¯s faraway fighting.

The Japs in the ¡°punitive force¡± flocked toward Mt. Baekdu, past by Rimyongsu.

Just at that moment, an auspicious star that appeared some time ago beside the General¡¯s Star on Mt. Baekdu, was shedding the distinctively bright rays.

Upon seeing these, Miyazaki unconsciously felt horrified.

As they went ahead some distance hesitatingly, they heard a thundering shout ¡°you, fellows!¡± from the sky all of a sudden.

¡°It must be General Kim Il Sung!¡±, ¡°Ouch, we¡¯re surely to die!¡±, screamed the Japs in the ¡°punitive force¡± and trembled as the aspen leaf, their skulls were rammed into the ground and their hips upward the sky like a pheasant hen.

Miyazaki, noticed of no hint of person awhile, issued again an order of marching forward.

Then, the soldiers faltered like cows entering a butchery, detesting the marching.

For Miyazaki himself, it was appalling, indeed.

He had not yet apprehended the thundering shout he heard from the sky last night.

As he hardly drove the ¡°punitive force¡± which was dawdling intentionally, toward Mt. Ganbaek, a brown fleet steed flew in beaming golden lights from the faraway peak of Mt. Baekdu.

(Ouch, is it not the horse carrying General Kim Il Sung?

I heard he has already gone northward¡¦for sure there are two generals named Kim Il Sung.)

Miyazaki thought so, badly frightened.

He rushed into the grass vine.

A while later, the steed reappeared with the whinny ¡°ouhong!-¡±.

Miyazaki plunged himself more deeply into the grass vine looking up at the steed.

¡°Huh?¡±  He was thrown into consternation, startled all of a sudden.

Well, a young commander in stately armour, not General Kim Il Sung, mounted the steed.

The young commander was holding the heavenly sabre.

Miyazaki thought that the rising of the new star was not accidental.

Nevertheless, he deemed it fortunate that it was not General Kim Il Sung and tried to drive the ¡°punitive force¡± further more.

As the Japs crept some more steps, a lightning flashed with the whinny ¡°ouhong!¡±.

It was the beaming emanated from the heavenly sabre as the young commander brandished it.

At the same time, a high wind blew up in the gully.

The wind was too violent for the Japs to march forward, so they retreated step by step.

When they moved off to the rear for some distance, the wind got calm.

Anyhow, Miyazaki was unpleased to stand back.

He directed the soldiers to go ahead.

Once again, the lightning flashed with the whinny of the fleet steed and the wind blew up.

The Japs could not but retreat driven by the wind.

It was indeed, a supernatural phenomenon.

The chief of the ¡°punitive force¡±, much excited, drove the soldiers with no let-up to the gully.

Then, this time, the scream ¡°you! Impertinent fellows!¡± was coming from the angry young commander, the thunder boomed and the bolt of lightning flashed.

Only then, Miyazaki regretted for his follies. But it was too late.

As the young commander brandished the heavenly sabre once again, the trees of the forest where the Japs hid themselves, turned to soldiers in all and began an assault on them shouting ¡°whoa!- whoa!¡±.

¡°Ouch! Ouch!¡±

Everywhere was echoed with the noisy shrieks of the Japs.

Miyazaki also fell hit by a bullet. Though he lapsed into a swoon, he muttered.

¡°That young commander is possessed of all the tactics General Kim Il Sung has. I was so stupid.¡±

Miyazaki could not breathe anymore and all the ¡°punitive force¡± Japs went down to the shades. Since then no Jap entered the vicinity of the Sobaeksu gully.

As a result, this revolutionary sanctuary where the young commander, the twinkling star of Baekdu was born, was not discovered for long, remained in the bosom of Mt. Baekdu.
