The
Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of South Korea published information on
the commemorative events held on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of great
President Kim Il Sung.
The
information reads.
On
the occasion of the 90th birthday of great President Kim Il Sung the Central Committee of
the National Democratic Front of South Korea formed the "Preparatory Committee for
Commemorating the 90th Birthday of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" and
significantly held multifarious events between April 1 and 30.
While
the boundless yearning and reverence for the great President overflowed across south
Korea, the Central, Provincial and Municipal Committees and organizations at all levels of
the NDFSK and patriotic movement organizations held report meetings respectively on April
14 to commemorate the Day of the Sun.
Reverentially
hung at the venues were the portraits of great Comrade Kim Il Sung immortal as the sun of
all people and the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, the sun of the 21st century. Also
hung there were placards praying for the immortality of the President and vowing loyalty
to the Marshal.
Speakers
noted at the report meetings that they were significantly commemorating the 90th birthday
of the President as the greatest holiday of the nation and humankind at an emotional time
when the hymn of reverence and loyalty of all people for the sun of Juche reverberated the
universe and the entire nation was accelerating the grand march toward the independent
reunification of the country under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.
They
stressed that April 15, the birthday of great President Kim Il Sung, is the day of great
fortune when the brilliant sun of the nation rose high in colonial Korea and a historic
and auspicious holiday promising eternal prosperity of the nation and bright future of
humankind.
The
whole life of the fatherly President is a brilliant history of the sun of the 20th
century, who, embodying all the personalities and qualities as a great man on the highest
level, glorified his noble life as a great thinker, great statesman and great
revolutionary, they stressed.
Recollecting
with deep emotion the immortal revolutionary exploits of the President, the benefactor of
national liberation, ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and father of
socialist Korea of Juche, they highly praised him as an outstanding great man representing
the 20th century and peerlessly great man unprecedented in human history.
Possessed
of unique clairvoyant wisdom, the great President brilliantly solved the problem of
succession to the revolutionary cause to lay the everlasting foundation for the completion
of the revolutionary cause of Juche, they stressed, and highly praised this as the most
brilliant and immortal exploit among the exploits he performed for the country and nation,
the times and history.
The
fatherly President, who made his utmost for reunification and prosperity of the nation
till his great heart stopped beating, will be with the nation for all ages to come, they
emphasized.
Thanks
to Marshal Kim Jong Il, sun of the 21st century, inheriting the great revolutionary idea,
outstanding leadership and noble virtue of the President, the President's revolutionary
cause is brilliantly succeeded and developed century after century and the history of the
sun flows invariably and ceaselessly, they stressed.
They
said that it is a precious fruit of the prominent army-centered revolutionary leadership
of the Marshal, the peerless brilliant commander, that the authority and dignity of Juche
Korea are skyrocketing and a turning phase has been made for national reunification.
They
proudly noted that the blessings of the leader and the sun the Korean nation enjoys
through generations are the highest honor and greatest fortune only our nation can lead.
They
vowed to accomplish the cause of national reunification without fail under the leadership
of the great Marshal, sun of the 21st century, holding the fatherly President in high
esteem forever.
Reflecting
the unanimous desire of the NDFSK vanguard fighters and all other patriotic people, the
reported meetings adopted messages and letters of oath to the great leader Marshal Kim
Jong Il.
During
the commemoration period NDFSK organizations at all levels and patriotic movement
organizations held multifarious political and cultural events in accordance with their
circumstances, such as lectures marking the 90th birthday of the President, seminars on
his immortal revolutionary exploits, seminars on his reminiscences "With the
Century", video shows, exhibitions of works and photos of the President and the
Marshal and singing gatherings.
At
the lecture meetings and seminars they spoke highly of the great revolutionary life of the
fatherly President who performed immortal and gigantic exploits for the country and
nation, the times and humankind, undergoing all sorts of unimaginable ordeals and trials
for 80-odd years.
They
made firm determination to hold the President in high esteem forever as the eternal sun of
Juche and father of the nation and follow the idea and leadership of the Marshal with
intense loyalty in order to hasten the independent reunification of the nation by carrying
out the June 15 joint declaration.
Through
the shows of north Korean films such as "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Will Be
Immortal" and "They Were Always Together for the People", seminars on the
President's reminiscences and work and photo exhibitions, the NDFSK vanguard fighters and
members of patriotic movement organizations implanted deeper in their hearts the peerless
greatness of the President, sun of the nation and lodestar of destiny.
On
the occasion of the Day of the Sun patriotic movement organizations conducted positive
activities to propagate the greatness and immortal exploits of the President among people
of different strata.
The
April 15 League, the Baekdu Society, the Sun Society, the Patriotic Youth Association for
Reunification and other patriotic movement organizations conducted different activities
such as distribution of leaflets, featuring on the Internet and e-mail, mailing of
retrospective cards and pasting of wallpapers to pray for the immortality of the President
and express their reverence for the Marshal.
In
particular, the Struggle Committee for Independence, Democracy and Reunification set the
90 days between February 1 and May 1 as the "Baekdu period" symbolic of the 90th
birth anniversary of the President and produced and distributed various Internet materials
on his greatness including a special issue commemorating the Day of the Sun in order to
add glory to this year marking the greatest auspicious holidays of the nation.
The
radio Voice of National Salvation and Kuguk Chonson Internet released special programs
commemorating the Day of the Sun on the highest level to further enhance the ardent public
yearning and boundless reverence for the President.
Greeting
the significant Day of the Sun, the Pyongyang Mission of the NDFSK held a press conference
on April 12 to introduce the firm faith of the south Korean people for the immortality of
the sun and their worship of the sun and express the determination of the vanguard
fighters and all other patriotic people in the south to carry out the June 15 joint
declaration by following the idea and leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Marshal Kim
Jong Il with intense loyalty.
The
events marking the 90th birthday of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung vividly showed
the boundless reverence of the south Korean people for the President and their absolute
and unchangeable resolve to hold and follow the Marshal as the sun of the 21st century and
lodestar of national reunification.
The
great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung will be alive forever as the sun of Juche and father of
the nation along with the everlasting prosperity of Kim Il Sung Korea and the Kim Il Sung
nation.
