Dec.17 declaration on the situation
The Propaganda Bureau of the Central Committee of the National
Democratic Front of South Korea released a declaration on the situation.
The declaration reads.
The whole land of south Korea seethes like lava with the anti-US
struggle.
The public resolve to revenge for the death of two schoolgirls
killed by a US armored vehicle at all costs is skyrocketing and the anti-US
struggle to oust the murderous US troops continues across south Korea.
All sections of people including primary school children, middle
and high school students, teachers, university students, professors, workers,
farmers, citizens, actors, lawyers and housewives turn out and join their
voices in the anti-US resistance everyday.
They stage candlelight demonstrations overnight despite of the
bitter cold, hardening their anti-US resolve.
No fraud trial! Punish GI homicides! Official apology of Bush!
Rewrite the Status of Forces Agreement! Yankees, go home!
The claim for national independence rang out even in front of the
White House in Washington, shaking the whole America.
It is not a mere struggle to pray for the soul of the two
schoolgirls.
The ever-increasing anti-US struggle is eruption of the pent-up
grudge and resentment of all the south Korean people who have been deprived of
national independence by the US imperialist aggressors for more than half a
century.
At the crossroad deciding to live meanly as subordinate people
bound to the US colonial chains or to live honorably as an independent people
by regaining national sovereignty, the south Korean people have taken the road
of anti-US independence.
Before their volcano-like ceaseless anti-US struggle, the US
colonial rule is shaken to its very foundation and the haughty Americans are
all trembling with uneasiness.
But our struggle has begun now.
People are casting their sneer at Bush's fraud apology and holding
ever higher the torch of anti-US resistance, renewing their indomitable will to
judge the US to the last.
The National Democratic Front of South Korea expresses its will to
join efforts with all the people in the anti-US struggle in the future, too, as
in the past and declares as follows to meet the requirement of the situation
and aspiration of the people.
1. Let us make Bush
make an official apology and punish GI murderers!
Bush's verbal apology is not only a deceptive trick to acquit the
GI homicides and hush up the death of two teenage girls but also an unbearable
ridicule at our people.
Bush schemes cunningly to allay our people's smoldering anti-US
feelings with the words of "regret".
All people should not be deceived by his crafty trick but intensify
the anti-US struggle to receive Bush's official apology.
Let's put the US murderers to our stern judgement!
2. Let us chase US
imperialist aggressors out of this land!
It is an urgent demand of the present age and the final goal of our
people's anti-US struggle to drive all the US invaders out of this land.
The American imperialist aggressors are the root cause of all evils
violating the national sovereignty and dignity and destroying peace and
stability of the Korean Peninsula.
As long as the US troops remain here, the tragedy of our nation
will continue, the national grudge will increase and all south Koreans cannot
escape from misery such as the death of Sin Hyo-sun and Sim Mi-son. Also
unthinkable are the national reunification and sovereignty.
If we fail to oust the American aggressors from this land, all our
people will die and our nation will ruin.
Let us intensify the anti-US struggle ever more for the pullout of
the US troops, aggressors, plunderers and murderers!
Let us gear all forms of anti-US struggle to the struggle for the
US troops pullout!
3. Let us resolutely
stand against Washington's reckless "nuclear fuss" and its moves for
inter-Korean confrontation!
The Bush government threatens north Korea with alleged
"military sanctions" by concocting the groundless "nuclear
problem", thus creating a crisis of nuclear war which will ruin the whole
Korean nation.
The United States has gone so far as to craftily scheme to turn the
mounting anti-US sentiment to anti-north confrontation in south Korea, in the
end of disturbing inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation budded by the
June 15 joint declaration and creating distrust and confrontation within the
nation.
If we fail to frustrate Washington's reckless "nuclear
fuss" and crafty intervention in our internal affairs, our nation will go
to wholly and our peninsula will be devastated.
The United States is the common enemy of the entire Korean nation.
All the Korean people should shatter to pieces Washington's
"nuclear fuss" and military sanctions that threaten the nation's
fate.
Let us realize the unity of the whole nation against the wicked
schemes of the United States disturbing the improvement of inter-Korean
relations for the implementation of the joint declaration!
Let's sharpen vigilance against Washington's crafty scheme to turn
the anti-US advance to anti-north confrontation!
4. Let's unite under
the banner of anti-US independence!
The ongoing anti-US struggle is a life-or-death resistance to
regain national sovereignty and dignity against the United States.
Unity of all the forces desirous of anti-US independence is a
mighty weapon for victory in this acute showdown.
No force in the world can match the firm unity of all people.
All people who value national sovereignty and reunification, the
fate and prosperity of the nation should unite in the nationwide patriotic
anti-US struggle under the banner of anti-US independence, irrespective of
whether they are workers, farmers, pupils and students, intellectuals,
religionists, businessmen and politicians.
They strata should keep their steps all together and join voices to
oust the Yankees and terminate the disgraceful history of colony.
Let us activate the solidarity and joint struggle of all people
against the United States!
